Questions, answered

Where are you located?

950 77th Ave, Oakland, CA, right off 880. Our first shop of hopefully many, with San Jose coming Q4 2026 / Q1 2027.

What does a membership include?

Lift access booked through our appointment system, full tool access from hand tools to engine hoists and transmission jacks, fluid disposal and metal recycling, free monthly community events plus our members' Discord, and member perks including discounted towing and sponsor deals.

Do you provide tools, or do I bring my own?

We provide pretty much everything you'll need: lifts, jacks, stands, and a solid selection of hand tools and shop equipment. Got your own tools you trust? Bring them. Specialty tools for your specific job, bring those too. And yes, the 10mm sockets are accounted for. Mostly.

What kinds of work can I do at GaragePass?

Anything. If you can wrench it, you can do it here: oil changes, brake jobs, suspension installs, engine swaps, transmission swaps, and full classic car restorations. Motorcycles too.

Do my hours expire?

Never. Unused hours roll over forever and stack with no limit on how many you can save up. There are no long-term contracts and you can cancel anytime.

How much does it cost?

Memberships start at $60/mo for 2 hours and go up to $1500/mo for 100 hours, which works out to $15/hour. A $10/mo processing fee applies at checkout.

Can I see the shop before I join?

Yes, tours are free and there's no pressure. Swing by, meet the team, check out the lifts and tools, and get your questions answered.

Can I store my project car there?

Yes. Long-term parking is available for deep restoration work or engine-out projects at $300/mo, and on-site storage lockers and sheds start at $16/mo.
